As margins are tightening in the current environment, cost management and competitive advantage are more critical than ever. Electronic integration can cut out unnecessary cost of duplication and the errors that go with it.

You need fast access to information; status of a contract or offer, inventory and costings, wherever you happen to be in the world. You also need to tie in with your suppliers, agents and customers. Perhaps more importantly, you need to present 'clean' shipping documents to the bank.

Generation 10 can help you achieve this with your global operations and customer base, using the latest internet technologies.
g10 Commodity Management Solutions
One of g10's core proficiencies lies in their in-depth understanding of the Commodity Trading industry. Many of g10's clients are either commodity trading companies (from small businesses up to globally distributed multi-nationals) or are service companies working with the industry.

This client base has allowed g10 to build a range of solutions to support businesses in this arena. Commodity Manager provides the basis for many of our installations, and includes the following key features and benefits:
Commodity Manager

  • Integrate the operations of your regional offices and agents
  • Issue accurate contracts directly from your offers

  • Integrate with suppliers & customers

Extended Applications

g10's Commodity solutions are designed to be modular. As well as allowing you to maximise your return on investment by only paying for what you use, this approach means that it is possible for us to provide bespoke functionality where required.

One such example of this is Bale Tracker, an RIA which ties in with a Cotton Manager installation to allow users at remote warehouse locations to provide instant updates to the central company Stock and Inventory databases. Built in Adobe Flex, this application is powerful, simple to use, and only requires a web browser on the user's computer.

A different client required low level costs tracking. g10 responded by providing an Invoice Approval system which tracks the status of all inbound cost invoices through checks by the Accounting and Operational users, the allocation of the costs to specific contracts, shipments and even lots, if appropriate.

This information is then pulled into a master profitability report which can compare the Trader's initial estimates with the actual cost of executing the contract.
